Regulations

Il regolamento è pensato per garantire trasparenza, correttezza e pari opportunità a tutti i partecipanti, tutelando lo spirito educativo e artistico che da sempre distingue Baridanza.

  1. The 30° edizione of the competition will be held in the city of Bari at the UCI Cinemas – Showville Bari il 17, 18, 19 Aprile 2026 and is open to non-professional dancers, i.e. dancers who do not have a current artistic contract and who are presented by dance schools. It will have the following programme:

    VENERDÌ 17.04.2025 cat. SENIOR + MUSICAL
    Saturday 18.04.2025 cat JUNIOR + HIP HOP SENIOR & JUNIOR + EXPERIMENTAL (HEELS – VIDEO DANCE – SHOW DANCE)
    Sunday 19.04.2025 cat. MINI JUNIOR + BABY + HIP HOP BABY & MINI

  2. Le coreografie per la sezione GRUPPI dovranno essere eseguite da un minimo di 3 danzatori ad un massimo di 20. Per le categorie HIP HOP, MUSICAL ed EXPERIMENTAL il limite è di 25 danzatori e non dovranno superare il tempo massimo di 4,00 minuti. Le coreografie per le sezioni ASSOLO e PASSI A DUE non dovranno superare il tempo massimo di 2 minuti e 30 secondi.

    ATTENTION at the end of the allotted time by regulation the music will be stopped. There will be a luminous stopwatch in sight, if the performance exceeds the allotted time it will receive 1 penalty point.

  3. The competition is divided into 6 sezioni: CLASSICA/NEOCLASSICA, CONTEMPORANEO, MODERN, MUSICAL, HIP HOP, EXPERIMENTAL (Heels, Video Dance, Show Dance). Le scuole partecipanti possono presentare, per la sezione GRUPPI non più di 2 coreografie per la stessa disciplina e categoria, nelle sezioni ASSOLO e PASSI A DUE non ci sono limiti.

    Group, pas de deux and solo categories are divided into SENIOR (17 to 29 years), JUNIOR (13 to 16 years), MINI JUNIOR (10 to 12 years), BABY (da 7 a 9 anni).

    I fuori età non dovranno superare il 20% dello stesso gruppo e la differenza di età dei fuori quota non dovrà superare i 2 anni.

    The MUSICAL and EXPERIMENTAL disciplines will have unified ages.

  4. During the 3 days of the competition, prizes will be awarded to the FIRST 6 CLASSIFIED di ciascuna categoria, con premi studio, borse di studio complete, targhe e trofei. Sarà inoltre assegnato da una giuria composta da giornalisti e critici il PREMIO SPECIALE DELLA CRITICA 2026
  5. A tutti i partecipanti, iscritti alla 30esima edizione del FESTIVAL BARIDANZA 2026 sarà consegnato un CERTIFICATE OF PARTICIPATION recognised as an educational credit for students and days of absence will be excused (sporting absence for national event).
  6. A tutti i partecipanti, iscritti alla 30esima edizione del FESTIVAL BARIDANZA 2026, compresa nella quota d’iscrizione riceveranno la T-SHIRT ufficiale included in the registration fee, as well as other accessories provided by the event sponsors.

    Per ASSOLI e PASSI A DUE per tutte le discipline totale PREMI STUDIO € 2.100,00 mentre totale per i GRUPPI € 1.050,00 per partecipazione a prestigiosi concorsi nazionali.

    Per la disciplina HIP HOP & EXPERIMENTAL sezione GRUPPI totale € 1.000 . Saranno assegnate, inoltre, borse di studio nazionale ed internazionali.

    Per ASSOLI e PASSI A DUE per i primi classificati BORSE DI STUDIO COMPLETE di lezioni, viaggio e hotel. Per i GRUPPI € 1.050,00 per partecipazione a prestigiosi concorsi nazionali.  

    Per la disciplina HIP HOP & EXPERIMENTAL sezione GRUPPI, ASSOLO e PASSI A DUE Saranno assegnate borse di studio regionali e nazionali.

    Oltre a trofei ed ATTESTATI DI MERITO tutti i ragazzi riceveranno la MEDAGLIA DI PARTECIPAZIONE. Saranno inoltre assegnate borse di studio regionali e nazionali.

  1. La giuria è composta da personalità nazionali ed internazionali del mondo della danza e della critica, che giudicheranno le coreografie in base all’espressione artistica, tecnica e all’originalità. Il giudizio della commissione è inappellabile.

  2. The stage has the following dimensions 10 metres wide and 9 metres deep with a minimum of 2 wings. During the performance, the name of the dance school or association with the city of origin will be projected on the backdrop of the theatre.
  3. I brani musicali dovranno essere presentati su chiavetta USB in formato MP3 formatfor safety's sake we recommend preparing a second spare USB stick. In the MUSICAL section you will be given 5 bows (maximum time 5 minutes)

  4. Per motivi tecnici ed organizzativi, IL NUMERO DEI PARTECIPANTI è LIMITATO ai fini dell’accettazione farà fede la data della ricevuta del bonifico o il timbro postale di spedizione. Comunque l’organizzazione del festival Baridanza 2026 si riserva il diritto di chiudere le iscrizioni là dove si è raggiunto il numero massimo di partecipanti.

    Please note – in caso di manata accettazione sarà rimborsata l’intera quota versata.

  5. The organisation is relieved of all responsibility regarding the physical fitness of the participating dancers, for which the dance school or association they belong to is the guarantor.
  6. L’organizzazione è sollevata da ogni responsabilità relativa all’idoneità fisica dei danzatori partecipanti, per i quali è garante la scuola di danza o associazione di appartenenza che dovrà essere in possesso dei relativi certificati medici. Diversamente dovrà essere allegato al modulo d’iscrizione il certificato di idoneità sportiva. Per la eventuale partecipazione alla finale nazionale di Firenze del 09-10 Maggio 2026 a competitive medical certificate is required.
  7. I responsabili delle scuole danza e i relativi partecipanti, dichiarano di aver preso visione della polizza RCT stabilita dall’organizzazione con la compagnia assicurativa Zurich Assicurazioni.
  8. I partecipanti iscritti alla 30esima edizione del FESTIVAL BARIDANZA 2026 autorizzano sin d’ora l’uso della propria immagine per eventuali foto o registrazioni televisive esonerando l’organizzazione da qualsiasi responsabilità attinente alle pubblicazioni e programmi riguardanti il concorso stesso. Decreto legislativo 30 Giugno 2003 n.196, codice in materia di protezione dei dati personali e relative modifiche.
  9. During the event, the name of the performing dance school and association and the city of origin will be projected on the backdrop of the theatre.

  10. ART. 16 – CHALLENGE TROPHY (premio a squadre) è un premio molto ambito del Festival Baridanza e se lo aggiudicherà la scuola di danza o associazione che avrà accumulato maggior punteggio nelle 3 giornate del concorso with its best 20 choreographies presented from all categories and disciplines.

    EXAMPLE: If a school presents a total of 39 choreographies over the 3 days, the scores of its best 20 will be counted.

    I punteggi saranno così attribuiti:

    5 points (1st place)
    3 points (2nd place)
    1 point (3rd place)
    0.5 points (4th - 5th - 6th)

    Il trofeo rimarrà per 1 anno presso la scuola o associazione vincitrice del premio ed il suo nome sarà inciso sullo stesso trofeo. Nella successiva edizione la scuola lo consegnerà al neo-vincitore nella serata conclusiva del festival.

  11. BEST DANCER TROPHY 2026, il riconoscimento del miglior ballerino/a del concorso Baridanza 2026 sarà unico tra tutte le categorie e discipline. Sarà assegnato dalla commissione nella serata conclusiva del Festival.

Anbeta Toromani is an Albanian dancer and dance teacher naturalised Italian. Runner-up of the second edition of the talent show Amici di Maria De Filippi, Toromani has been prima ballerina in numerous international and Italian theatres, including at the National Opera and Ballet Theatre in Tirana, the Slovakian National Theatre, the San Carlo Theatre in Naples, the Teatro Massimo Vittorio Emanuele in Palermo and at Sferisterio of Macerata.

Throughout her career, she has been choreographed and directed by Pier Luigi Pizzi, Alessandra Celentano and Dante Ferretti, Gheorghe Iancu, David Garforth, Roland Petit, Luigi Bonino, Fabrizio Monteverde, Ljudmila Semenjaka, Michail Lavrovskij, Amedeo Amodio.

In July 2023 he performed in Preludes for Juliet, directed and choreographed by Massimo Moricone at the Roman Theatre in Verona. In July 2024 he was present at the Florence Dance Performing Arts Festival a Firenze e madrina del La Nuit desÉtoiles a Olbia.

One of the best known faces on the Italian and international Urban Dance scene.
For years, it has contributed through stages, workshops, events and shows, to the growth of street dance and the dissemination of HOUSE DANCE culture on the Italian and international scene.

Creator and coordinator of numerous events. HOUSE DANCE EUROPE the first and largest house dance camp in Europe.

Founding member of the TREE BOO DANCERS crew,
guests at MNN in NEW YORK, SESSION 2 STYLE in PARIS and TOKYO.

Choreographer of the video clips of many international artists, JAMES SENESE, OLIVIA TRUMMER, to name but a few.

Roman Froz

HIP HOP

In 2004, he moved to Milan and joined the Bandits crew, with whom he won a number of national competitions and with whom he has performed in commercials, music videos, TV shows and other international events over the years.

He was choreographer, external teacher and external judge of the talent show Amici di Maria De Filippi in the 2018/19, 2019/20, 2022/2023 and 2023/2024 editions.

In November 2022, he curated the choreographic section of The Art of Fighting 2, a Lombardy event dedicated to boxing and kickboxing, also performing with the Bandits.


In April 2023 and 2024, Froz organised the Italian breakdance Battle School championships in Trezzano, for qualification for the discipline's world championships in France.

Luciano Cannito

Committee Chairman

Luciano Cannito is currently Artistic Director of the TEATRO ALFIERI and the TEATRO GIOIELLO in Turin, of the ART VILLAGE Academy and of the ROMA CITY BALLET COMPANY and ROMA CITY MUSICAL. He is President of the NAPLES NATIONAL THEATRE and a member of the SIAE Supervisory Board.

He has created more than 60 ballets including MARCO POLO, CASSANDRA, AMARCORD, ROMEO AND GIULIETTA, FIVE SEASONS, MARE NOSTRUM, BARBIE'S WORLD, CENERENTOLA, ROMEO, CARMEN (box office hit in Italy 2010/2011), VIVA VERDI, JULIET, IL PADRINO.

Luciano Cannito has signed productions with Lucio Dalla and Roberto De Simone and has worked with top stars of the dance and opera scene. Since 2015, he has started a collaboration with the prestigious Bolshoi Academy in Moscow.

THE PARMA BALLET

The Parma Ballet was born out of a strong desire to offer young dancers a bridge to the professional world. The main mission of the Balletto di Parma is to prepare its talented young dancers for professional careers in the world's most prestigious companies. The company serves as a conduit to transform students into professional dancers of the highest level and versatility.

AMILCAR & VIRGINIA

Born in Havana in 1977, he studied at the National Ballet School of Cuba. He has danced as principal dancer on numerous European stages such as the Bavarian State Ballet, Les Ballettes De Monte-Carlo, Zurich Ballet and The Hamburg Ballet[1]. He has also danced principal roles in Brazil, the United States and Mexico in works such as Coppélia, La fille mal gardée, The Nutcracker and Le Corsaire. His prizes and awards include a gold medal at the Concours International de la danse in Paris in 1996 and a bronze medal at the Helsinki International Ballet & Choreography Competition in 1995. Since 2009, he has been working as a professional dancer and ballet teacher on the TV show Amici di Maria De Filippi, a role that brought him notoriety in Italy. In 2016, he was a freelance principal dancer and danced alongside Rossella Brescia in Luciano Cannito's Carmen and Cassandra. He is currently first dancer at Theater Kiel and guest principal dancer at the Hamburg Ballet.

She graduates as a professional dancer from the Choreographic School of Albania in 2020) from 2022 she joins the Advanced Training and Choreographic Workshop for Dancers, New Classical Ballet
